Photograph  Manipulation and Enhancing

Kelly (B&W Conversion) - Kelly wanted this picture converted to black and white along with professional high contrast enhancements and look.
Kelly (Nagel Look) - Conversion of color picture into a nagel look.

DewBubble - A large collection of image manipulation and enhancements example   Some great example of Black and White and color combinations to produce a great look.

JenLynn - A collection of black and white photograph manipulations.  Some great examples of nagel, canvas and abstract looks.
JenLynn - Creating close-up high contrast black and white from color photograph.

Wallflowers - Layer manipulations, combinations, 3D

One Headlight -  Every component in this images was separate.  The Viper was pulled from a photograph. The picture of Jakob was taken and copyright by Mark Seliger.  In the right corner you can see the images from the first two albums.  The colors were manipulated and applied a number of effect to make it seems as though the logos and stars were actually painted on the brick wall. The wall is actually a famous structure somewhere overseas.  A number of effects was used to place Jakob and the Viper into the image and make it look as though it is an actual photograph.  One of of the key factors in ensuring this is the proper use of shadows  and tools for sharpening, blurring and such.   This was also developed at 640x480 so that it can fit full screen as a desktop background.
Jakobzilla - This was fun to develop while playing with a number of effects trying to get something I liked.  The picture of Jakob is another Mark Seliger masterpiece.  had to duplicate, flip, turn and manipulate the Godzilla logo such that it would it fit perfectly over Jakob's face. Jakob's eyes were set to bleed through and the Godzilla eye to seem as though it was a mask,  A number of effects were used to bleed the lighter colors from the Godzilla eye so that Jakob would feed through.  Masking effects were used on the album cover such that it faded seamlessly into the image from the top right corner.
3D Magic Eye - Example of using shades of grays and a repeated image to produce hidden 3D.

KOAA-TV 5/30 - On Air Graphics

Below is a number of graphics I have developed for the KOAA-TV which has been rated the top Southern Colorado station for their news, programming and professional look.

Rockies Rendezvous - This is one of the favorites.  Every item on this screen was separate.  Had to drop the station and Rockies logo onto the ball and make them seem as though they belong there.  The word "Rendezvous" was a text effect on the bat to make it seems as though it is etched in. The player was pulled from a different picture and then put into the graphic. A new player can be used at any time.
Lotto Background - Great demo of digitally creating and manipulating images.  The lotto balls were all created from a blank white background. You can notice how the letters and logo seem as though they wrap around the lotto balls.
Anchor/Reporter Teams - This is just one of the reporting team graphics.  Each individual picture was separate. Had to extract the individual from their portraits and place them side by side to make it seem as though it was a group shot.  This can be very hard to do considering the lighting for every picture was different.  The colors and tones had to be adjusted to make them match.
Coffee Break - This graphic was designed for a special morning segment on the news.  This one is a good example of the use of masking and multiple layers. Scanned a plain white coffee cup (not a picture) and had to remove the shadows from the cup which the scanner produced.  After this, the shadows were removed, and then had to add the station logo and make it seems as though it was part of the cup. Then had to cut the cup and paste it as a layer into the screen.  The steam effect was done using a number of steps.
Copyright - The station copyright screen.  Use of masking to allow video feed behind the copyright line and station logo.
3 Day Weather Forecast -This screen was custom created to match the station graphics.  It was all done in layers and the background can be easily changed at any time.
3 Day Weather Forecast -Another 3 day with a different background.
3 Day Weather Forecast Screen Shot
-This is a screen shot of the finished three day as it would look on air.
Anchor Background - This graphic sits behind the anchors during the news.
Station Bug - One of the station logos.
Eyewitness News Bug - Eyewitness news logo.
Eyewitness News Bug - Horizontal version of the Eyewitness News logo.
Eyewitness News Tease Bug -   Logo used or teases. Use of gradients for a nice look.
5 Line Sports Background - Background used for sports requiring 5 score lines such as golf.
2 Line Sports - This is the background used for reporting sports scores.  The side image of the basketball changes depending on the sports.
Hepa Filter Story Background - This graphic was developed for a story the station did on air filters.  The lower pictured filter was actually a black and white and was colorized to help detail the various parts within the filter.
Jason Project Story Background - Example of a internet capture to be used for a full screen on a story.
Over the Shoulder Box - This in the feature box that sits above and to the side of the anchor on air.
Picture Frame - A picture frame developed to match the station look.  This one is mainly used for pictures of the talent on the station website. The picture can be changed at any time.
Road to the Superbowl - This screen was developed when it came time for the Broncos to go to the Superbowl.  It was used for Bronco story opens and also used as the image which sites behind the anchors while on-air.
Stock Market Full Screen - This is the background was created to be used when reporting the stocks.  The bills themselves were scanned and dropped in. The side image can be replaced at any time with other images to meet other background needs..
Tease Bar - This is the tease bar the station uses.  A good example of masking and opacities to allow video to feed through.
Weather Box - This box was developed for reporting weather such as highs, lows, precipitation, etc.  The masking and opacity allows for video to be fed behind it such as the lives cams.
Website Promo Background - A simple background used for promoting the website.  Example of how opacity can be used.
