Sash passed away recently. It was quick and it was final. She had dinner, went out to go potty, visited with her friends, and sat down for a moment. We got up and went back in the house to stay out of the heat and then she started reacting rather strenuously. She appeared to be having mild seizures , she burped, she threw up and within 15 minutes we pretty much figured she had torsion and was bloating. I finally found a local after hours vet that wasn't the emergency ward, Upon seeing her, the vet confirmed our suspicions and by that time she was exhibiting signs of bloat. So at 14years old we did the only thing that could be done. The vet was proud of her and listened to her life story, and Liz's too! We all have to go somehow. Sash was a real trooper and was a happy girl since I have known her. I am glad she didn't have to stay and wait, that she didn't have to suffer for any time. She was relaxed and content while I and the vet attended to her. Now she is with her human mom, who passed a few years ago, and with Liz and that is how it should be. Sash the pretty one. | ||||||
