ADOPTED
ANIMALS!
2005,
2006!
| The Elfin
Princess and Shadow Dancer ADOPTED TOGETHER! |
 |
Elfie and Shadow
(photo coming when I can fnd it!) were adopted by a long time adopter.
Mary has endured the loss of her Wulfie years ago, and then faced cancer
herself. The survivor that she is, she is still with us and happy to
provide these 2 wonderful animals a permanent home! Shadow is already
10-12 years old and I never expected he would ever find someone who loved
him enough to give him a home to die in. Now he has a whole life a head of
him. He even accepted Mary's 2 cats, and the chickens and the goats (well
the chickens still look tasty! ) Elfie has decided to camp out under
Mary's bed and is willing to guard Mary with her life. I couldn't be
happier with their new home. |
| Annack Thanksgiving
Adoption 2005! |
 |
The day before
Thanksgiving had Misty, myself and Kristi running around like mad men
getting Annack's paperwork in order and faxed to the shelter. It took
almost as long to do the paperwork as it took for Misty to drive Annack
out to WWR. He was welcomed by all, but only stayed about a half an hour
before his new owner came to pick him up. Annack was so happy to move in
with Becky he accepted her cat and her other dogs happily and has a home
for life now! Happy Thanksgiving to Annack and Becky |
| Chloe Adopted!
(finally!) |
 |
Clover has been
through many homes. Her last family couldn't keep her because they had too
many children, and not enough time. She was shy and needed work too which
made it hard to place her. Choctaw's adopter finally agreed to take her in
when her owners called and said she needed a home that day or they would
take her to the shelter and have her put down. |
| Kohiba
ADOPTED! He
went with Dave and Timber and Bacardi. |
 |
Kohiba
is a 4 year old neutered male who has proven in the past to be an
extraordinary escape artist. Why I do not know. He appears to be quite
happy here in a small pen with a roof on it. He has nervous moments that I
think have triggered these episodes. Tight quarters and some safe little
hideaway places for him to feel secure may help stop his problem. He is
good with other dogs, male and female , large and small, cats, and kids,
and ferrets, and all other little critters too. He is loving and
affectionate, is well behaved (other than trying to run away from time to
time), works well on a leash and rides nicely in a car. He is a long
haired malamute cross that may require some grooming. He may require
a special pen also. Having other dogs around is a real must for him, and
he could go with Choctaw as they are great roomates, and I'm sure he'd get
along with our other long haired malamute adoption, "Blue" . |
 |
Timber Is Where
Wolves Rescue Christmas Home. Dave another log timne adopter had lost his
Apache earlier this year (see In Loving Memory). Although he will never be
able to replace Apache, he has offered to give some of our harder to place
animals a home. Once you've taken in, and had success with, an unwanted
hybrid you realize how appreciative of you they are. |
| |
 |
Kohiba, Alex, and
Timber all together and Forever Home for the Holidays! |
| Hondo and
Diego they have very little time left at the shelter HURRY
NOW! Hondo and Diego were adopted because of the efforts of groups like
Where Wolves Rescue in conjunction with many other individuals and
rescues. |

|
| Lolita
The Amazing Pup ADOPTED! |
|
 |
I HAVE HAD LOLITA SINCE SHE WAS 6 MONTHS OLD AND SHE
IS GOING TO BE FIVE SOON. SHE LOVES CHILDREN, LOVES TO
RUN, CHASES SQUIRRELS, AND IS VERY TAME. PEOPLE ARE
AMAZED WHEN I TELL THEM THAT SHE IS A WOLF MIX BECAUSE
HER DISPOSITION IS SO MELLOW AND SWEET.
I AM A FULL-TIME COLLEGE STUDENT AND IT HAS JUST
BECOME TOO MUCH RESPONSIBILITY FOR ME TO CARE FOR
LOLITA. THIS DOG NEEDS TO RUN AND/OR PLAY WITH OTHER
DOGS ALL DAY LONG. LOLITA GETS ALONG GREAT WITH MY
OTHER DOG AND I AM QUITE SAD I HAVE TO SEPARATE THEM.
BUT THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS: LOLITA LOVES PLAYING/LIVING
WITH OTHER DOGS. (MY OTHER DOG IS A ROTT MIX)
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

car and walks on a leash and has even gone to Petsmart on a number of
occasions. he likes Kids and has been around cats as a youngster. He has
been indoors and outdoors, has a little round of territory marking in a
new place but it is over with in a day. He does not jump fences, or
dig, but he does howl, very early in the morning. He is tall but does not
weigh much about 70 lbs. and he is a black and cream colored Malamute mix. |
| NIKKO:

very large, 2 1/2 year old Neutered male. long haired Malamute mix.

| Satchmo:
ADOPTED! Bikee' Tosh (Big Foot) |
|
Satchmo is a 3 month old
puppy out of Ribbon. He is large and kind and a gentle giant. His feet are
already bigger than his mother's! He howls when he sees you to greet you,
hence his name Satchmo. He is a lovely sand color with silver overlay. It
looks like he will have an open face. We have pics of his Daddy, and of a
known half brother of his on his father's side. Both are Very Large, Very
handsome and impressive, Satchmo should be also. He is looking for a
perfect forever home as we head into the summer. |
 |

Augie , a
little Schnauzer/ silky or yorkie mix was cared for by Gwen as Paul was
dying of cancer. She brought him to visit regularly and Paul Knew that
Augie was safe and would do well. Paul has passed away now and it
was time for Augie to find his forever home. Happily he did so and his new

| WUFFIE Now known
as Mojo ADOPTED! |
|
 |
Wuffie howls!
He is lonely. He wants a real family where he can come indoors and eat
real food and have people who love him and throw a toy for him to play
with. He loves the company of other dogs and seems pleased to see them
all. He is shy with strangers especially men , but he warms up at his own
speed. He likes to go for walks where he won't have to encounter many
people he rides well in the car and he can open his own gate latches so he
needs to have locks on all the gates |
|
|
| ADOPTED!
Blackie Bear

|
Blackie Bear: a
beautiful, spayed, female, yearling, who loves people but is not very good with other
animals. Maybe one really tough male dog can handle her, or a young male dog who doesn't
know any better! She certainely doesn't like ANY females. She is spayed and housebroken
and loves people, attention, and food, as long as NO OTHER dog can have it! She can walk
on a leash, sit, shake, and lie down. She is crate trained, and is currently going through
her first destructive stage. But the weather is nice and she is bored. She is a German
Shepherd and Husky cross. Because she's young, she does need A LOT of attention, but she
is really smart and working with her and bonding to her will really pay off in the long
run. |
| Ribbon:
Adopted! |
 |
Ribbon is a 2
year old female. Possibly Amon's (see adopted animals section) sister. She
is a gentle and wonderful person. She can be territorial and protective.
She is a Malamute cross, with very a wolfy coat, narrow brisket (chest
area) and long legs. She does not like Dogs in general but is fine with
other wolf dogs of the male gender. She is not good with cats either and
has been known to hunt and eat prey like rabbits, lizards, and other
small furry objects that run quickly in the desert. She is housebroken
(needs a little reacquainting with the concept, but is very clean). She
will make a wonderful and solid companion for the right home. |
| Nala
ADOPTED! |
 |
Nala is a 4yr
old spayed malamute mix female. She prefers the company of others
like her and is up for adoption with a roommate (Kohiba or Amon) as a 2
for 1, or if Adopters already have an animal that she would get along with
that would be ideal. She does not jump the fence, but is shy and mischievous
at the same time. She doesn't like to ride in the car too much, but likes
where it takes her! She would do best with someone already experienced
with the breed. |
| FRANKIE
(Now known as Wyatt) ADOPTED!

|
Frankie,
now known as Wyatt came out of the Pima county Animal Care and
Control. Although obviously a Siberian Husky with one blue eye and one
lightly flecked parti eye, He was branded a wolf dog and sentenced to
death. Sybil ( in the picture) was kind enough to spring him for us
as she lives there and we met half way between Phoenix and Tucson. Wyatt
is a wonderful sweet thing and so far is doing very wel in his new home.
He really liked the other husky they have and he will warm up nicely and
have a real forever home. Just what we wanted! |
| BUBBA:
ADOPTED!!! photo update coming soon below. |
 |
Bubba
is a 4-5 year old neutered male Siberian Husky. Dark grey and white, with
a fairly long coat. He is handsome , very friendly good with other dogs ,
and kids, and can go to a forever home by himself, or better yet, with his
life long companion Juno. Unfortunately they MUST
find homes by the end of the month as the owners are moving. So staying
together is not the most important thing in their lives. Finding a home
is. Bubba walks on a leash, rides in a car and will be your best friend
for life! He's a VERY happy camper! |
| JUNO
: (Bubba's Friend) ADOPTED SEPARATELY BUT VERY
HAPPY!!! |
 |
Juno
is a 4-5 year old spayed female Siberian Husky mix. She is very friendly
good with kids (but feels they are a little high maintenance for her
now). She is housebroken, listens well, will work on a leash and knows
basic commands. Juno and Bubba need to find a home by the end of the month
their owners are moving and cannot take them with them. |
| Icee
Storm ADOPTED!!!

|
Icee
Storm Is a male, neutered, Siberian Husky. He is approximately 4-5 years
old, very handsome, friendly and affectionate. Good with other dogs,
probably not so good with cats, but we are still unsure of that. He
certainly will make a loving and very impressive companion for his forever
home. Icee is all white with Ice blue eyes. As you can see in the picture,
he does have some faint white on white markings. |
| Sasha: |
 |
Sasha
is a 3 month old female Siberian Husky. She is somewhat housebroken, loves
children, rides in the car, walks on a leash, and is learning how to pull
like a Husky! She can sit, and is learning the down command too. She is
long haired and will require grooming and will need to be indoors during
the summer heat. |
| New
PUPPY! Also Known as Piggly Wiggly: ADOPTED! New
Update Photos coming Soon of Piggly Wiggly and Cloud. |
 |
This 5
month old female puppy is very people social yet very nervous. She managed
to get away from her home during a thunderstorm, and no one has claimed
her. She is afraid of thunder and lightening. She is good with other dogs
and cats so far also. She needs a home where someone can keep her
indoors for the summer months. besides being afraid of the monsoon storms,
she is also Very log haired and will need grooming over the summer. She is
crate trained and rides in the car. She does not walk on a leash , but she
will try and be your lap dog! She looks larger than she weighs. She
is mostly fur. She needs a name too. |
