Zeke departed us on September 4th, 1996!
Shadow departed on September 5th,1996!
Only hours apart

Our prayers are with April and Jesse Moyer!

The following descriptions were provided by owners April and Jesse Moyer:

Zeke (Zeke of Mystic Wolf Kennels)

Zeke was a 67% Arctic/Mckenzie Valley/malamute, he had the coloring of the malamute but a coat of an Arctic. Even in the summer the poor thing never sheded completely. He loved to have his daily watering down on hot days. He was 5yrs old. Zeke before coming to me had been shifted back and forth between boarding kennel. The owner was in the military and when he went to the field would board him out for lengthy times, until he finally decided he didn't want him anymore. At that time with VA having permit laws no one would take him and he was destined to be put to sleep which I could not let that happen. For the first 2months Zeke was very aggressive. Basically he was upset at the world since he had never had a stable permanent home. He finally came around and you could not have asked for a better companion, I'm 5'1 and Zeke towered over me with his 6'1 on hind legs. I love to show him off to people,I would go in the kennel and people would say god he's so big,you should've seen there faces when I'd ask him to sit, shake hands, and up for kisses,he had turned into a very large baby.I never set out to teach him how to do these things he chose to do them on his own.Zeke was bigger than any St.Bernard I've ever seen,No lie he was huge!!! I just don't know how I'm going to get bye each day without his bear hugs and sloppy wet kisses,he had been my baby for two years and he never failed to jump up on me and knock me down and slobber all over me every time I opened that kennel gate.

Shadow (Jesse's Black Shadow)

Her name says it all "Jesse's Black Shadow". She was a 85%B.C/Timber/G. Shepard she was black as coal and she was very sly, made you think she was stalking you but really she wasn't she would sneak in for a rub anytime she could get passed Zeke which was rare he didn't like to share her with us or us with her,she would come up to lick your hand and he would growl at her and she would stand back and wait her turn. She was 9yrs old and I had her 3yrs.

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am a diamond glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft star shine at night

Do not stand by my grave and cry,
I am not there...I did not die.
