Why I love my
Wolfdog |
Anon
I love
- The way 'Cade insists on having his head scratched for 10 minutes at
7:30 EVERY morning, and will hit the bottom of the bed with his paw until I pay attention
to him.
- The way Cody looks at me with those blue eyes, and is content to just
be near me.
- The fact I am the ONLY person 'Cade will deign to give his affection
to.
- The way Cody sleeps right next to me, with his head on the pillow,
and tucks his snout under my neck.
- The way 'Cade takes his medicine as if it were a treat.
- The way Cody's eyes roll up when I scratch in just the right place.
- The way 'Cade purrs (yes he is a dog) when I rub his tummy.
- The way Cody sits by the shower, waiting for me to get out and help
me dry off.
- The way 'Cade turns on the touch sensitive lamp with his nose when he
wants to go out at 3am in the morning.
- The way Cody presents his butt so I can scratch the base of his tail
for a good scratch.
- The way 'Cade gently, but firmly, holds my arm in his mouth when he
wants me to stay with him.
- The way Cody walks backwards out of the kitchen, and bumps into the
door every time.
- The way 'Cade steals my entire pillow the minute I get out of bed.
- Both of them very much!!!!!

Why I love Kodiak
- He has in him, all the things I lack, or should I say, cannot show,
in this society of ours.
- He has the eyes of the ancients.
- He has the wisdom of thousands of years.
- He has tolerance, and unconditional love.
- He has the playfulness of an innocent child.
- He has the spirit, of the forests where his Mother roamed.
- He has the courage, to warn me of danger, and the trust in me to know
that it is I who will protect him from it.
- He has the intuition, to tell me when someone is evil.
- He is the wild, in me that I have never been allowed to show.
- He stems from the original animal, who has not been corrupted from
thousands of years of domestication.
Micky
I love my wufdawg because...
- ....she is more intelligent than most people I know....
- ....she has a depth of emotion I've never seen in any other animal
- ....she has a mind of her own...even tho' I am the alpha, she will
still tell me if what I want her to do is foolish, undignified, or uncomfortable.
- ....she always seems to know when I need a friend
- ....she gives such nice, moist but not sloppy, kisses on the
underside of my nose
- ....she is so doggone beautiful, especially out in the snow
- ....it's so fun to watch her come from an apparent sound sleep to
full alertness in less than a second to catch a fly
- ....she's less of a bedhog than my husband <G>
- ....most of all, I love her just because of who she is, and how she
has become a member of my family.
